- We are passionate about wine and are recognised as one of the UK’s
leading specialists in wines from the Rhône Valley, a region
considered to offer incredible diversity as well as the best value
for money and the most food-friendly red wines.
- We also list wines from leading estates elsewhere in France
and also Italy and Spain all quality-conscious, as evidenced by the
string of awards and recommendations peppering our list. The estates
are all quite small too, so use of chemicals is strictly limited.
- We import every wine on our list, enabling us to offer wines
at the best prices (often 20% lower than other retailers) and share
our expertise. We try to give as much information as possible about
the wines, their producers and the regions they come from.
- Friendly and efficient service. Wines are stored in a temperature-controlled
bonded warehouse so they should never suffer overheating and dried-out
corks which can so easily spoil good wines bought from shops and supermarkets.
- We buy only wines we like to drink ourselves – our buying
philosophy is: do we mind being stuck with the wine if it doesn’t
sell? So far this has never happened!
