Wines

Sweet Wines - The initial Hyde Park Wines will be a set of stickies:

Spain - naturally sweet wines from Empordà, Mistelas from Valencia and a brace of old Pedro Ximenez (PX) from Montilla - Moriles in Andalucía - all along the Spanish Mediterranean coast; France - Coteuax du Layon from The Loire valley; Maury from Roussillon; Italy - Vin Santo from Tuscany.

Sparkling Wines - Petillant and fully Sparkling fizz from Moscato to rare quality Cavas and Champagne. We will include a red traditional method Sparkling Wine from Spain.

Spicy Food Wines - Pretty much the same as wines for summer - refreshing. We are globally recognised as the experts in matching wine with curries and spicy food. Hyde Park Wines not only supplies the highly acclaimed range of refreshingly semi-sparkling wines to drink with curries from Wine for Spice but we supply a full international range of wines for restaurants with a wine list selection consultancy service and provision of the wines.

Summer Wines - We will be including a good number of Rosé wines - still, Petillant and sparkling. And with the central heating on in the winter it can be summer all year round.

Spanish Wines - We speak the language, know Spain well and are working with wineries in up and coming areas such as Empordà and Montsant.

People

Warren Edwardes who set up and runs Hyde Park Wines has often won wine tasting competitions and is the winner of the Pol Roger Cup 2004 for blind wine tasting as part of the London Business School Alumni team.
He is also founder of Wine for Spice created to provide a range of wines to drink with curries and spicy food and is globally recognised as the leading expert on matching wine with curry.

Edwardes is a founding member of and was the first Chairman of ASDW - The Association of Small Direct Wine Merchants.
Edwardes was formerly a banking innovation and risk consultant with Delphi Risk Management and merchant and investment banker and corporate treasurer and author of the best-seller "Key Financial instruments: Understanding and Innovating in the world of Derivatives"

Events
