Based out of County Durham, Hidden
Vines will seek out the smallest Italian Vineyards and bring you some
fantastic wines.
If you were to live in Italy away from the cities these are the vineyards
you would visit to get something a bit special, something to go with
a great meal perhaps.
Starting slowly we will add more vineyards as time goes on, we will
be searching for the vineyards with the following criteria.
1) Small vineyard - Typically about 10 hectares
2) Small Estate Production - Typically <40,00 bottles
3) Family owned and run.
4) Grapes hand picked, not mechanically picked
5) Environmentally friendly - using renewal practices or certified
'biological farming and production'.
We will offer other wines through an affiliated company, but the criteria
used to select the wines will be the same as the above.
If you are like us you will love Italy, the Italian Culture, their
food and of course, their wine, but here at Hidden Vines we don't
want to just take, we want to give as well therefore we will also
be supporting an Italian charity called Arche' who support under privileged
children in Italy and the third world. 1 euro will be donated to Arche
for every case of 6 sold. |
